Description

Eight (8). American. Late 19th century. Pressed metal, wire, wood. Set of eight folding tin plover decoys with original wooden box and wood and copper mounting sticks. Each bird is in original black, brown and white paint. Marked, "Pat. Oct. 27 1874" with stencil on the inside of the birds. Box marked "One Doz. Assorted Plover". Exhibits signs of use. Overall, good condition. Birds: 5.5" x 9.5" x 2.5". Stands: 7.25" in height. Box: 4" x 10.25" x 8.75".
