Description
Three (3). Small book form box is likely Canadian. The others possibly Colonial. Early 20th century. Softwood (2). Boot shaped example possibly Yew. Consisting of three unusual "trick boxes" - two with prisoner-of-war origins. The first is a diminutive size example with scratch-carved decoration around the edges. Darrells Island was a POW setting in Bermuda during the Boer War. A finish was never applied to the surface of this box. Good condition. From the Jim Fleming Collection. 3" x 2 1/8" x 1 1/8". 2.5" X 3 5/8 " X 7/8". 4 1/8" x 3" x 1.5".
