Egyptian Column form, probably French, early 19th c., having fine chip carved decoration, domed glass on top over floating compass, with gradients in Fahrenheit & Reaumer declination, 6 1/4" x 2 1/2" diam. Shrinkage cracks, edge chips, all functions intact.
