Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) Bronze Pitcher, C. 1900, H 9'' W 2.5'' L 5'' A Japanese Meiji period bronze pitcher. Offers a tassel form handle, pleated rim. Floral forms and dragons in bas-relief throughout the bodice. Provenance: Private Collection, Boston-Edison District, Detroit, MI (40-year resident of the Boston-Edison Ford House)
Condition
Dense weight, cold feel. When viewed under natural light, a re-soldering seam was observed along the bodice. Some edge wear to the underside.
