Description
Roman, Imperial period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A lovely glass bottle boasting a nearly translucent hue of light blue-green reminiscent of the sea. Sitting upon a flat base, the elegant vessel presents a cuboid body and a slender neck that rises to a folded rim with a delicate, ribbon-form handle connecting rim to shoulder. A light weathering film and scattered areas of rainbow iridescence naturally adorn the surface, imbuing the piece with an elegant presentation evocative of the ancient world! Just imagine this graceful vessel once containing the sweet and floral perfume of a Roman noblewoman! Size: 1.8" W x 3.5" H (4.6 cm x 8.9 cm)
