Description
A CHINESE LONGQUAN CELADON BOWL, SONG / YUAN DYNASTY, ZHEJIANG PROVINCE. Flared rim and lightly incised decorative lines surrounding the inner surface below the rim and to the centre. It is coated in a celadon glaze of good colour. The glaze is a little crackled in places. The foot rim is square cut with the recessed base remaining unglazed revealing the pale porcelaneous body. C.13th Century. 18.5 cm diam. (7.25 inches).
Condition
Overall condition is good; although the glaze has worn around the rim edge, where it is thin, there is no restoration or repair and it has a good ring when tapped.
