Description
A very rare item from the Apollo 13 Mission. This is an original pre flight x-ray of crew member and Command Module Pilot Ken Mattingly's A7L Space Suit Boots. These were not saved, as Ken Mattingly was removed from the mission just days before launch due to possible exposure to Rubella. So most of these x-rays were scrapped as his space suit did not fly. This one is from the collection of the American Space Museum. It is in very good condition and is a vintage and original x-ray from the time of the mission and not a reproduction. It measures 17" x 14". It is in excellent condition. Also, included is an Apollo 13 mission emblem x-ray with the crew members names. It measures 8 3/4" x 9 1/2". **The images in these x-rays have been made visible for your viewing with the help of a lighted back board.
