Very rare and beautiful piece. Hand painted porcelain portrait plaque in oval brass frame. The back of the frame bezel has blue guilloche enamel framing a glass covered blonde lock of hair. This could have been a mourning piece but was more likely used for adoration. Measures approx. 3 3/4" high (frame without wall hanging loop) x 3" wide. Very good antique condition with some chips at the bottom. Ex-Christies according to sticker on the back.
