This photo of original Indian photo was taken by Percy Marble who was a government Indian Agent on the Navajo, Sioux and Menominee Res rvations from 1911 to 1926. Previously he had been a photographer on several different newspapers in the west. Later in life he was acting mayor in Las Vegas. Some of these photos have been studied by brother Simon of he Red Cloud Indian School at Fort Thompson in South Dakota. Dr. Laurie of the Milwaukee Museum. Also, more are being identified Professor Peter Welsh of Arizona State University. The photos are all proofs, have never been for sale, this collection has been in storage for over a half century. Brother Simon calls the photography of Mr. Marble, greater than Haffman, Edward Curtis. Never will you see the American Culture as it was without owning part of this colection. This lot is coming from the estate of a Professional American photographer and collector in LA, CA. Dimensions 7" x 5".
