Made by the J. & E. Stevens Company. Cromwell, Connecticut - Circa 1890's. From the collection of Robert Weiss. Without a doubt, the Pug Frog bank is one of the most animated toy banks ever invented. To set the exciting action in motion, you must first wind the spring of the high-wheeled bicycle. Push the lever, and you will witness the bicycle and the frog somersault in place, throwing the coin into the basket held in the boy's arms.
