Description
J.B. Hickok (May 27, 1837-August 2, 1876) A fined bold cut signed 2 X 4 paper excised from a larger letter. A Boldly signed paper in black ink. A veteran Army scout who served with Generals Custer and Sherman, Hickok is best remembered as a gunfighter, heavy drinker, and profligate gambler. His fame was assured by his dramatic death at Deadwood, South Dakota in the summer of 1876: he was shot in the back during a card game, famously holding a hand of aces and eights, known to this day among poker players as the "Dead Man's Hand." Matted and Framed with a black and white photograph and sketch of the famous Western figure. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators (GFA).
