DESCRIPTION: A Pierre-Auguste Renoir (French, 1841–1919) "Le Chapeau Epingle" etching on wove paper, dated 1894. Signed in the plate «Renoir» in the lower left. This engraving is listed in Volume 17 under Number 8 of Auguste Renoir's engraved work by Loys Delteil. Depicts the portrait of two young girls, the daughter of Berthe Morisot, Julie Manet and her cousin. The two figures are delicately composed by hatched lines throughout the work. Sitting in elegant dresses and wearing large hats with ribbons. Created around 1894 by Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
