Description
A CHINESE LACQUERED ELM DEMILUNE TABLE, PROBABLY LATE QING DYNASTY (1644-1912), brown and red lacquered elm, the "D" shaped top over a wide pierced horizontal lancet lozenge frieze with gadroon twist and ruyi mushroom carved border, above a shaped skirt with bas relief carved taotai dragon mask emerging from smoke swirls, raised on nearly concave cabriole legs to hoof type feet, joined by a curved stretcher, with later added glass top. Height: 34 5/8" Width: 37 3/4" Depth: 17 1/4"
