Large Viennese/ Austrian enamel jewelry chest/casket, 19th C., gilded bronze mounts on ebonized/ black veneer case inset with hand-painted plaques of classical figural scenes, finial in the form of a putti/ child riding flying swan mounted on domed top inset with oblong panels and reticulated bronze mounts of masques and scrolls, stepped case in two parts, upper case with enameled columns at four corners and terminating with four bronze satyr children, paneled sides including two cabinet paneled doors (one with release on interior side) are mounted with double-sided panels and open to reveal three long drawers with six oval panels, brass ring pulls and blue enamel flowers (two missing), lower case with oblong panels to sides and double panel to single drawer front, raised on square base with bracket feet, filigree spandrels, wear consistent with age including heavy checking, cracks, loss and repairs to wooden case/ veneer throughout, one mount to domed top missing, two enamel flower to interior drawer missing, loose mounts, light scratches and flea bites to edges, drag marks from cabinet door locking rod, etc., sold as is, 10 1/2" h. x 7 1/2" w. x 6 1/2" d.
