Description
American National (American, 20th century). Percy Crosby's "Skippy" Tricycle. Metal, rubber, c. 1930s. Height: 32", Length: 41", Depth: 18". Solid rubber tires, blue and white pinstriped paint job manufactured by Toledo, Ohio company American National. The seat has a faceted reflector mounted into the back. Provenance: From the Estate of Mary Jane Devlin, lifelong resident of Toledo's Old West End and grandniece of Michael J. Owens, glass manufacturer and inventor.
Condition
Fair condition. Hard rubber tires show splits and wear but still roll. Pedals and wheels turn when pushed, one wheel seems a bit uneven. Overall rust and discoloration. Some white paint splatter on the handlebar. Condition reports are available from Stefek's upon request.
