Cut paper, embossed paper. German, c. 19th century. Sight: 4 1/8" x 2 7/8" ea. Frame: 5 1/4" x 4" ea. Pair of German 19th century hand-cut embossed paper silhouettes, one of a man and one of a woman. Both upon an aquamarine colored ground. Both marked with a paper to the back with German inscription, names, and dates. The male portrait is titled "August Bruscky" with dates "23 August 1786 + 1 May 1890". The female portrait is titled "Henriette Bruscky" with dates "10 September 1787 + 5 Juli 1873".

Good condition; some debris/dust to the interior of the glass, some discoloration to the aquamarine colored ground, light wear overall from age.
