4.25X6 Vintage photograph signed in ballpoint ink and inscribed to Jim Wiggins by Aldo Ceccato. In very good condition.Aldo Ceccato is an Italian conductor.Ceccato was born in Milan. He worked as an assistant to Sergiu Celibidache and was the music director of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra from 1973 until 1977. Then, from 1976 until 1982, he was the music director of the Hamburg Philharmonic. He was also the music director of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra from 1985 until 1990. He is the son-in-law of conductor Victor de Sabata and has made a recording of de Sabata's compositions for the Hyperion record label. In 1971, he recorded Donizetti's Maria Stuarda and Verdi's La Traviata, both with Beverly Sills.This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years. He obtained his collection either in person or by writing to persons of fame and notoriety. Comes with a full Letter of Authenticity from Todd Mueller Authentics.
