Description
1829 Book of Fate Kirchenhoffer Napoleon Egyptian Manuscript Occult Sonnini
The Book of Fate is an English translation of a secret German manuscript of an Egyptian Oracle, which Napoleon kept on his person even risking being captured at the retreat of Leipzic when he lost the oracle. This rare book was found in 1801 in one of the Royal Egyptian Tombs by M. Sonnini and was later translated and put into book form by Herman Kirchenhoffer.
This rare 1829 manuscript introduces the most famous ancient oracles including Delphi, Dodona, Delos, Ammon, Roman Augustus, and the Sibylline Books. It also focuses on the Egyptian oracle The Book of Fate giving instructions on how a person might inquire of the oracle and how the priest of the Temple of Osiris would give an answer. The book contains 64 pages of lists of answers to questions people might ask, and a large fold out chart of questions that may be asked to the oracle and their associated hieroglyphic indicators of the planets.
