Description

Fine Talega Large Ceremonial Bag for Llama, Altiplano, 17th-18th C. Originally one of a pair of pouches used over the torso of a llama. Alpaca warp and weft. Natural dyes. Pink, purple, white and rare green dyes. The piece features three wide bands of pattern weave of stylized birds and Sun designs. Size: 16'' x 14'' (41 x 36 cm).
