Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color depicted of Qilin are extraordinarily beautiful creatures, sparkling like gems and adorned in flames. With their scaly bodies and horned heads, they resemble Chinese dragons. Qilin are symbol of luck, good omens, protection, prosperity, success, and longevity by the Chinese. Whatever their special attraction, they always move gracefully and dazzle the mortals who see them.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years of Yongzheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
