Cai Wenzhi born in Huanggang County, Hubei Province (Xinzhou District, Wuhan City). Graduated from the ninth period of the Whampoa Military Academy and the thirteenth period of the Army University. Lieutenant General of the National Revolutionary Army.

LOT NOTES/ ARTIST BIO:
Huang Jun 黄均 (1914 - 2011) nicknamed Maochen, was born in Tamsui, Taiwan, and was born in Beijing on July 6, 1914. He was the grandson of Huang Yanhong's brother Huang Yanwei, one of the four great Hanlins in Taiwan in the late Qing Dynasty. Famous meticulous figure painter and art educator. Huang Jun loved painting since childhood. After graduating from Sicun Middle School in 1928, he joined the Beijing Chinese Painting Research Association headed by Jinbeilou to study painting. Qi Baishi, Chen Banding, Qin Zhongwen, Ma Jin, Wu Jingting, Xu Yansun, Wang Xuetao, etc. taught respectively. At first, Huang Jun studied figure painting from Xu Yansun, and then from Chen Shaomei and Liu Lingcang, laying a solid foundation. In 1930, he paid homage to Pu Xinshe as his teacher, learning Beizong landscape painting and calligraphy. After graduating from the Chinese Painting Research Association in 1934, he was hired as a teaching assistant of the association. In 1938, he entered Beiping National Art College and worked as a teaching assistant and lecturer successively. After the founding of New China, Huang Jun successively served as lecturer, associate professor and professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In February 1987, he was hired as a librarian of the Central Research Institute of Culture and History. He used to be a member of the China Artists Association, a professor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, a librarian of the Chinese Culture and History Research Institute, the dean of the Beijing Ancient Capital Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, the vice president of the Beijing Fine Brushwork and Heavy Color Painting Association, the consultant of the Beijing Lake Society Painting Association, the consultant of the Zhongshan Painting and Calligraphy Association, and the Oriental Consultant of the Calligraphy and Painting Club and the Calligraphy and Painting Research Association of the China Port Association. In 1985, he joined the Beijing Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League as a member. Passed away in Beijing on October 3, 2011 at the age of 98.

Consider normal due to the ages. Frame with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, consider ages and wear.
