Vintage Silver Plated Alexandrite & Rhinestone Ring, Sz. 7.5, 1980's-1990's. This stone is a large pear-shaped stone that looks like alexandrite - it is a simulated stone, likely glass. It is appx 14mm by 10mm . it has a V prong on the open end and then set with a bezel around most of the stone. It has a horseshoe shape outer clear rhinestone accent. The ring as it sits on the finger is appx. 14mm down the finger and 19mm across the finger. It has an open bridged undercarriage and is appx. 7mm high as it sits on the finger. The band is appx. 7.7mm at top and tapers to 2.5mm at the back of the finger. I tis marked sterling but it does not test as sterling - more of a plated silver - mild magnetic reaction. Still a nice ring with a great look. There is some wear on the facet of the but you still see the purple and green shimmer. It is not signed by the maker. Age is estimated at 1970s-1990's.
