The first visit of de La Salle to the Senecas, made in 1669. This paper was originally read before the Buffalo Historical Society, March 16, 1874. "An edition of 100 copies reprinted from advanced sheets of The Historical Writings of Orsamus H. Marshall" which was published in 1887 by J Munsell's Sons, Albany NY. Bound with blank pages in rear after text, perhaps to give book some thickness. Ownership signature of Charles L Albertson, a retired New York police inspector who donated 12,000 books from his collection to help create Orlando, Florida's Orange County Library System.
