Collected poetry by 4th century Roman poet Claudian, who wrote praise poems for the Emperor Horatius and general Stilicho, as well as an unfinished mythological epic on Proserpina. His praise poems of Honorius and Stilicho are valued contemporary historical sources from that tumultuous time, although Claudianus died shortly before the sack of Rome.
