Framed original Japanese limited edition copperplate etching COLLECTION I by Shogo Okamoto (1920-2001) depiction 6 views of forest and trees on the same sheet. Very unusual feature - two prints are done in black ink, others in sepia colored ink. Superb quality work - see minute bark texture strokes, fine bare branches and beautiful depiction of grass, perfectly captured elegance and dignity of the trees. Excellent crisp print, both print and paper are perfectly rectangular, all the irregularities to the borders are from positioning during photography as well as white reflection lines in the glass. Printed in 1980, dated, titled and signed by the artist in pencil and numbered 78 from the edition of 150. The print is in excellent condition, framed with acid free mat. Image size (furthest edges of opposing prints) 10 5/8 x13 5/8 inches (27x35cm), frame size 19.25×25/25 inches (48.5x64cm).
