Julius Stabiak was born in Sosnowiec, Poland, and was associated with the Krakow artistic community. He learned painting under the guidance of Wojciech Kossak and found a job as an assistant in his studio. Stabiak practiced techniques in oil and watercolor. His work is dominated landscapes, forest views. A big part is set within the scenery of the village near Krakow: presentation of humble peasant homesteads, wooden churches, carts, rogue riders, weddings with colorful folk costumes and florists.
