FDR Superb Signed Photograph, Rare as Uninscribed

An 8" x 10" portrait photograph of 32nd U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882-1945), signed in blue fountain pen at bottom left, "Franklin D. Roosevelt", ca. 1930s. Photographers Blank & Stoller, New York copyright at bottom right. Vintage adhesive residue present at verso. Light surface wear, scattered spotting and creasing, else in very good to near fine condition and boldly signed by the longest serving President in the history of the United States.

The absence of any inscription makes this example particularly special, as the vast majority of known photographs are directed specifically to their recipients. This very photograph fetched over $1,600 at Heritage Auctions in 2019.
