This Vintage Oil on Canvas by H.P. Uhlman- Country River Scene-is a gentle and relaxing picture and is an original by the Austrian artist H P Uhlmann who specialized in landscapes and country life, drawing from Austrian masters of the 19th Century. The picture features a mill, a horse and cart, several figures and a slowly flowing river. It may not reach the heights of the old masters but is a pleasing addition to any home. The frame is particularly striking and decorative and enhances the picture splendidly. The picture (without frame) measures 90 x 30 cm. Postage and packing will inevitably be costly - collection would be ideal if you live within striking distance of Wichita Falls Tx. Shipping could also be reduced if just the canvas is shipped and not the frame. The frame I think makes the picture.

Hans Uhlmann (born November 27, 1900 in Berlin, October 28, 1975) was a German draftsman and sculptor. He is considered the founder of metal sculpture in Germany. His works include 242 sculptures and more than 1,125 drawings. Since the early 1950s, he has received numerous orders for sculptures in public places and has participated in international exhibitions such as documents, the Biennale in São Paulo and the Venice Biennale.
