Description
Anatoly Kaplan, 1903 to 1980, limited edition lithograph on paper from the Wedding Circe, circa the 1960s. Signed in pencil lower right. Anatoly Lvovich Kaplan was a Russian Soviet Jewish artist. He studied at the Higher Artistic and Technical Institute in Petrograd Leningrad under G. S. Vereisky and A. A. Rylov. The work of Anatoly Kaplan throughout his life was closely connected with Jewish folklore and literature in Yiddish, he was a creator of illustrations for the works of a number of Jewish writers, including the classics of Jewish literature, as well as Jewish folk songs. Condition
Overall good condition. Signs of age and wear. Yellowing at edges, some dark stains on surface. There are some tears around the edges. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
