Depicting an early autumn, possibly on the Susquehanna River, signed LR W. Mason Brown ( 1828 - 1898) New York artist, inspired by Thomas Cole and the romantic artists of the Hudson river School. His works are in many of the most important public collections, 13.5" H x 23.5" W sight, 19" H x 28.5" W frame, circa mid 19th century. Condition: 2.5" x 3" very old repair patch on the back center of the canvas, canvas appears to have been cleaned, very striking painting.
