In Wally Wood and Joe Orlando's "Kenton of the Star Patrol" story, Kenton goes undercover as a prisoner to crack the case of alien slavers who abduct jailbirds to toil in their uranium mines. Using sci-fi mumbo-jumbo and a space heater, Kenton "cracks the case" by turning his silicon-based foes into brittle glass. Next up is "Invasion from the Abyss," a so-so space saga redeemed by stellar artwork by four Fleagles: Williamson, Wood, Krenkel and Frazetta. Page for page, this mag packs more artistic firepower than almost any other non-EC pre-Code rag.
