A Federal Period Sheraton Sofa, C. 1810, New England, with arched crest, abbreviated wings, with reeded paw-like hand holds joined over reeded baluster turnings; tapering front legs with carved fronts and lozenge feet under slightly bowed seat front; the back legs blocky and flared. Old metal supports brackets added to several legs, with red upholstery that was done at a later time, shows wear from use, snags, fading, staining.
