Vintage Sterling Mexican Cut Out Pendant/Brooch on 20" snake chain that is 1.3mm wide. The chain is marked Italy and .925. The pendant/brooch is 1.5" across. It is a cut-out domed piece with swirl accents and small droplets with four jagged ray-like cut-outs. If it were on an angle it would look like a butterfly but it is not made to hang that way - I think it is a sun image or something along those lines. Total weight for both pieces is appx. 12.38 grams. Age for the pin is 1960's-1970's to my best estimation. The locking mechanism on the pin is a little older in it's look so I do believe it is that age or earlier. The pin is built into the back of the brooch/pendant and not soldered to it. The chain is newer and liked just added on. Often, these pieces are sold as pins/brooches separately and the chain is added by the owner. Very good condition. See photos.
