Description

A collection of antique and vintage Japanese Ukiyo-e woodblock prints on paper. A pair of woodcut prints on paper by Utamaro Kitagawa, 1750 to 1806, a young girl blowing a whistle from the Series Ten Physiognomic Classifications Women and a Goat Hour from the Series The Sundial of the Maidens, edited by Takamizawa and Yuyudo. Circa: 1960 to 1970. A woodblock print on paper, The Hermit And The Bullfrog, by Genki, after the original, Gama Sennin Figure, by Noguchi Yukoku, Japanese, 1825 to 1898, an original paper label showing the text about the artwork on the back. A woodblock print on paper depicting a Marine scene. Circa: early 20th century. Three prints were inscribed with Hieroglyphs on the plates. All framed.
