The lot includes: an antique Russian Empire Feodorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God made of wood and cast bronze, the final features images of Archangel Michael and Gabriel and two cherubs, circa 1850-1890. Note: The Feodorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God (Russian: ФеодоровÑÐºÐ°Ñ Ð¸ÐºÐ¾Ð½Ð° Божией Матери), also known as Our Lady of Saint Theodore and the Black Virgin Mary of Russia, is the patron icon of the Romanov family. It is one of the most venerated icons in the Upper Volga region. And an antique icon of the Kazan Mother of God, made of wood, gilded metal, with printed elements and fabric lining on the back. The Mother of God is depicted with her head bowed to the Child. The Christ Child is shown from the front, the right hand is extended in a blessing gesture with two fingers. Circa 1900-1917.
