This lot consists of a watercolor on paper, done in the Pointillist style of Paul Signac (French, 1863-1965). A hand-painted inscription at left reads, "P. Signac".
Paul Victor Jules Signac (French, 1863-1965) was one of the principal Neo-Impressionist painters of his time. He was initially influenced by Monet and later he closely associated himself with Georges Seurat in experimenting with the application of dots of color known as Pointillisim, which became the basis of Neo-Impressionism.

Condition
Bumps and chips around edges, likely where paper was cut. Watercolor stains and marks scattered. Overall piece remains vibrant, solid and shows very well. Please see pictures for more information.
