William IV Giltwood Girandole Mirror
second quarter 19th century, the mirror plate set into a lotus-molded circular surround, the finial decorated with a hippocampus perched on a rocky outcropping, the very unusual base with a pair of intertwined pierced giltwood dolphins, their tails supporting giltwood scrolled candle branches decorated with carved leaves.

Condition
In very good re-gilded and restored condition. The piece currently exhibits very minor rubbing and wear to the gilt surfaces. The mirror plate is very crisp and clear with no occlusions or issues with the silvering. The wooden back over the mirror plate has been replaced with cardboard.
