Pair of Louis XIV-Style Mahogany and Marble-Top Commodes
20th century, each with a shaped and bowed top, quarter veneered and centering a floral cartouche, above a conforming case fitted with two drawers, both with an inlaid chinoiserie scene, flanked to either side by a rounded cupboard, raised on cabriole legs ending in ormolu hoof feet, the whole heavily ornamented with ormolu mounts and millwork.

Condition
**Each case is tight, sturdy and stable with no movement observed in the legs or joints. Each has light wear, including minor scuffs and some slight lifting/shrinkage lines of some veneer. The most notable issues are veneer chips along the top edge of each lower drawer. Drawers and doors operate freely.
NOTE: Of 20th-century manufacture. Also: they do NOT have marble tops as previously stated; the tops are veneered wood.NOTE: Of 20th-century manufacture.
