Description
A large Chinese export armorial plate, dating from the 18th century. At the center of the deep well is a crest with a lion figure and two standing lions, with tongues out. Red and white flowers frame the image. The lions represent courage, nobility, royalty, and strength. A band of green with four panels with flowers, and the wide rim with four groupings of red flowers with green leaves. No decoration on the underside.
