Description

DST. Maker's marked "American Artworks." C. 1920 Lambertville "Snag-Proof" Rubber Boots and Shoes painted metal flange sign. CONDITION: Side A has good color with areas of staining throughout the field. The sign shows light fade to the color and fade to the outer red perimeter. Side B has significantly more fade to the color and light oxidation, with areas of paint loss and staining both to the field of the sign and along the outer edge. The flange portion of the sign has paint loss and rusting. Overall, a terrific early example with outstanding graphic. Condition: (8.0 & 7.75). Dimensions: 18 - 1/4" x 1 - 1/2" x 13 - 3/4".
