Item Details
Description
1920, BELGIUM: Koenigsberg, better known for their Dance and street organ manufacturer, did a lot of conversion work on player pianos to produce full size orchestrions, especially for the Belgium cafes and small dance halls. With this example, using a Weber Brabo as a base, Koenigsberg added an accordion, xylophone, large and small drums, wood block and triangle. This instrument has the tag for A. Geyxen, Brusselles, but it clearly plays as a German instrument from Weber. Walnut case with carved front panel flanked by a pair of sconces, beveled mirrors, and an orchestrion top component showing accordion and drums. CONSIDERATIONS: A beautiful finish to the walnut cabinet showing very light wear. The mechanics were restored in the recent past, and the instrument plays very well. Having once played by MIDI system, and that componentry still exists in the cabinet, however the instrument currently is playing by roll. Includes 1 music roll. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made. Condition: (Excellent). Dimensions: 61" x 31" x 90".
