Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III)(Japanese, 1786-1865), A Woodblock Print Actor Triptych

circa 1855-1856, a woodblock print triptych of actors performing in "Iris as a Mirror for Men," the three male actors all wear black and white check kimonos and stand on a wooden walkway over waves, the edges lined with blooming irises, fireflies encircle each figure, all three prints are professionally framed together under glass, not examined outside of the frame.
