Artist Biography: Painter, illustrator. Studied art at the??Model Drawing School in Budapest. Masters: J??nos Greguss, Bertalan Sz??kely, K??roly Lotz. He trained in Munich in 1903. In 1906-1907, he went on a longer study trip to Egypt, where he painted pictures depicting the Eastern way of life. He began his career as an illustrator in the 1890s, participating in the illustration of the book series of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy in writing and pictures. Several of his works can be found in the collections of the Hungarian National Gallery and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
