This helmet and the next 3 helmets were a labor of love for an avid autograph collector. ÊHis fifth helmet was unfortunally partially damaged in his climate controlled locker unit. ÊThe 5 helmets together were quite possibly the most complete collection of NFL Hall of Fame autographs on Official Hall of Fame helmets (1996). These are inÊperson autographs from Mike Ditka Charity events and other Chicago sports shows. ÊThis helmet includes 27 signatures: Jim Brown, Gale Sayers, Mike Singletary, Bob Griese, Lawrence Taylor, Steve Largent, Gino Marchetti, Bob Lilly, John Mackey, Joe DeLameure, Jim Kelly, Bobby Mitchell, John Stallworth, Willie Brown, Anthony Munoz, Bill Dudly, Mel Blount, Jackie Smith, Mel Renfro, Deacon Jones, Eric Dickerson, Dave Casper, Dan Hampton, Elvin Bethea, Dave Wilcox and 2 others.
