Rare early edition of Foxe's Martyrs in abridged format. The title page of this copy is the variant with the spelling "thorough". Lacking the first and eighth leaves of the first signature - the first was a blank, the last the final leaf of "To the Christian Reader."

Rubbing and wear to covers, but binding sound; title page slightly soiled and creased, with some marginal chipping and a short tear (not affecting text); generally a very good copy.
