Antique English Travel Lap Desk with Ornate Parquetry & Inlay - c. 19th Century. A lap desk with fine parquetry featuring Greek key and inter-locking cubes, with a medallion at center inlaid with mother-of-pearl. The desk has two exterior hinged covers-- The top opens to compartment with four partitions and pen rest tray, with a glass inkwell bottle; the other opening to a blue velvet lined writing surface. The writing surface has an additional compartment underneath. 4 1/2" h x 14 1/8" L x 11 3/8" D.
