Vintage Feathered Rooster Candy Container With Glass Eyes
This is a wonderful 2 piece standing papier mache rooster candy container with its original real feathers. The rooster has glass eyes, composition yellow beak, 3 different colored feathers, wire metal legs, felt comb and wattles that dangles beneath its beak. Yellow feet are painted on top its round wooden disc. Base is made of a round hard paper sponge painted on the outside in white and blue and glued to a round paper base.
The rooster container is unmarked probably made in Germany or Japan.
This would have been a fun Easter basket treat for the youngsters in the 1950's. A very highly collectable candy container for the collector.
CONDITION
This rooster candy container is in very good condition. There is no breakage anywhere.
