Antique 1800s Primitive Punched Tin Grater Shredder, Farmhouse Utensil
Presenting an antique punched tin country kitchenware farmhouse utensil grater with wonderful old patina. Beautiful half round punched tin in triangular motifs, with wooden chamfered edge handle, so unusual. Dates from the 1890's and earlier. Found in a local Western New York old country farmhouse estate auction in Western New York.
APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS
Wooden handle measures 15-3/4 tall, half round tin meaasures 7-1/4" in width x 9-3/4" length. Height of domed tin from board is 1-1/2".
CONDITION
Lovely old tin natural patina and wear that only comes with time and use. Found in good used condition. Condition issues includes bends, dents, a hole in the tin and discoloration. Very little minor rust.
Please note that most items are in as found when purchased, with little attempts to clean, leaving natural finishes and patinas intact. You may choose to clean these items.
Great for display, hanging from rafters. These graters look wonderful as an accent in the kitchen. Multi use graters for cheese, spices, nutmeg, or vegetable thins.
