Pair of hollow clear to transparent Red RAINBOW Art Glass Apple paperweights with one applied green stem which is sure to make you the Retro Teacher's Pet. Collectors search for Rainbow decanters, figurines like this and crackle glass. Can be cute Farmhouse Decor too...
The Rainbow Art Company was first founded in 1940 by President J. Goudaker and Vice President Henry P. Manus in Long Island City, New York. Hand decorated Rainbow items were sold in every state as well as in Canada, Mexico, South and Central America, British India, and South America.

Rainbow was located in Huntington, West Virginia from 1942 - 1973.
Rainbow only decorated glass from 1942 - 1954 so was purchased from other Glass Companies and decorated with painting and staining among other techniques.
* HOWEVER, from 1954 - 1973 they made their own glass - LIKE THIS APPLE Figurine.
In 1973 the company was sold to Viking glass. The factory burned in 1983. Many Rainbow items can be found with Viking stickers showing that the Rainbow items were popular enough to continue making for many years.
Wonderful for the display case, bookshelf or dinner table centerpiece arrangement. Decorate with it as a poisoned apple or two on Halloween to a table's centerpiece during Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Check out the single mark on its bottom from where the pontil was withdrawn during the hand blown glass making process.
Piece weighs approx 416g or 1lbs 12 3/4 oz and is of an approx Height of 3 3/4" with a circumference of some 7".
Condition: Excellent, stickers are faded, the larger apple has a rough tip, most likely made by manufacturer when finishing the apple stem. See last image.
