Dear friends in order to ensure maximum safety to the painting - we will send the painting rolled on a roll and after receiving you can pull it onto the stretcher. This painting sells unframed. Frame increases the cost of delivery. If you still want to get the painting with its native frame, then delivery costs 85$ more, and the frame is disassembled for free.
About the artist: Vasyl Gabda was born in Uzhhorod on July 11, 1925. He graduated from the Druget Gymnasium in Uzhhorod, where painting was taught by the artist Derd Endredi [2].
Gabda is a plein air artist. Its themes are mountain landscapes, village houses, forest motifs, trees and streams. Known as the artist of spring. Another of his creative incarnations - still lifes [3].
From 1943 to 1944, Gabda studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Budapest Polytechnic. In 1946 he graduated from the Uzhhorod Art School. Communication with Erdely, Bokshay, and Manayl, with whom he often went to open airs, had a great influence.
In 1948, Uzhhorod organized production workshops of the Art Fund, in which Gabda worked from the time of their founding until its decline in the early 1990s.
The artist's exhibition activity was active. Gabda took part in all regional exhibitions, since 1954 - in all republican, all-union, foreign. His works are included in museum collections in Ukraine and abroad.
Vasil Gabda died in 2003 [4].
